Haase of Odessa, born Dec 26, 1891 in Russia and a resident of this area since he was four years old, passed away July 9, (1988), at Odessa Convalescent Center. He was a farmer with his brothers Jack and Dave for many years, until their retirement. For the past 12 years, he had been a resident of the Center. Mr. Haase was a member of the United Congregational Church, the Odessa Gun Club, and the American Legion's local post. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the UCC July 13, Rev Glenn Gettinger officiating. Interment followed at the Odessa Cemetery with Strate Funeral Home in charge." (Odessa Record: 7-28-1988)
