Marvin Kanous Killed by Lightning
During the violent storm on Friday afternoon Marvin Kanous, son of Ben Kanous, about 8 miles east of this place, was killed by lightning. The boy, who was about 15 years of age, had gone to the pasture to drive up the cattle. Not returning as soon as usual, search was made and his lifeless body and that of the horse he was riding was found.
