Jonathan Dale, also known as Johnny, age 70, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2009 in Show Low. He was born January 7, 1939 in Whiteriver, AZ. Jonathan was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bertha Mary Dale. He is survived by his brother, Martine Dale; his only daughter, Rosalind Velasquez-Altaha (Edmund); grandchildren, Michelle Lee Altaha, Dezi Rae Altaha, Aaron Harvey, Joseph Marvel Altaha, Caylene Childs; great-grandchildren, Joseph Levi Henry, Jr., Malik Darius Henry and his little princess Jasmine Micah Altaha.

Johnny had many family, friends and co-workers that he loved very much. Jonathan was a very hard working man. He worked at the old Dawn's Bakery, Whiteriver FATCO and Forestry. He also retired from Whiteriver BIA and was employed with the Whiteriver Elementary School. He was a very kind and friendly person. Johnny always had a smile on his face. He was loved so much and will be missed dearly.

A one night wake will be held 10:00AM Monday, August 3, 2009 at his residence in Whiteriver, above the old Jack's Trading Post. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Branch Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will follow in the Canyon Day Cemetery
