Jean B. Abrams, 88, died June 19, 2009, at her home in Seattle, WA. She was born on November 18, 1920, in Savannah, GA, and grew up in Thomasville, GA. She graduated from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA, and worked as a chemist for Dupont in Charleston, WV, before moving to Richland, WA, in 1944. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009, at 8 p.m. at Einan's Funeral Home, 915 Bypass Hwy, Richland, WA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. at All Saint's Episcopal Church, 1322 Kimball Ave, Richland, WA, with reception to follow. Burial is at 4:22 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe M. Beutell and Pauline T. King; her brothers, Joe (Florence) and Barrington (Edith); and her sons Robb and Chip (Linda). She is survived by her sister Nancy; her children Paul (Anna) and Kathleen; her grandchildren Peter (Shannon), Whitney (John), Thomas, Nels, Jennifer (Steve), Alison, Ben (Erin), Sam (Angie), John, Joe, Anna, and Richard; her great-grandchildren Nicholas, Jack, Caden, Lauren, Tyler, and Nathan; and loved nieces, nephews and good friends. We will dearly miss her presence in our lives but her strength and grace will be in our hearts and in our family forever.
