Harbert's exact birthdate is not known to me, but the 1850 census lists him as sixty-four, therefore an estimated date would be 1786, depending on the month of his birthdate.

Harbert's first marriage to Miss Esther Dornbush on January 9, 1818, resulted in at least the following children: Sarah aka Sally, Nancy, Elizabeth, John R., and William Harris. His second marriage to Miss Bradley produced these children: Sims, George Washington, Mary, Zilah, Harbert, Jr., and Coleman Bradley Harris.

Harbert was appointed Constable in the years 1826-1827.
