Son Cole B Shatswell obit

Cole B. Shatswell, 76, of Checotah, passed from this life on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at his home. He was born in the Prairie View Community on January 19, 1931, the son of Lester and Rosie (Needham) Shatswell. Cole served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He really enjoyed fishing, visiting and woodworking. Cole dearly loved his family, and they will greatly miss him. Those preceding Cole in death were his parents; son Cole Shatswell Jr.; and brothers Jimmie Ray Hurst, Herbert Shatswell and Lester Shatswell. Those left to cherish his memories are daughter Debbie Shatswell of Omaha, NE; brother Carl Shatswell of Onapa; sister Ruth Dare of Muskogee; grandsons Terry and Brian Shatswell and Cole Shatswell III; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services for Cole will be held in the Hampton Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 6:00 p. m. with Rev. D. Van Washington officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hampton Mortuary, 211 W. Okmulgee, Checotah, 918/473-6821.
