BRIGHAM CITY - Marion Lucille Neff Anderson, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and into the loving arms of her sweetheart Don on Monday, July 13, 2009. Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Friend was loved and adored by all who knew her.

Marion was born on September 2, 1926 in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Seymour Howard and Vera Knapton Neff. She attended schools in Salt Lake City and returned to school after raising her family. She received her diploma in May 1983 at the age of 56.

She married Donald Ray Anderson on December 16, 1951. He was the love of her life and passed away on March 4, 2005, after 53 years of marriage. She missed him dearly each day that they were apart.

Mom loved her family and they were the most important people in her life and she made everyone of us feel special. Visits from family and friends were the highlight of her every day. She enjoyed traveling with Dad to Tahiti, Hawaii, and other favorite places. She worked in retail businesses for many years especially enjoying her time at Hamilton Drug Store. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan. Her favorite past time was doing word-search puzzles and enjoying the summer evenings on her front porch.

Marion is survived by her children, Dennis (Barbara) Kendall, Eagle River, Alaska; Geraldine (Reed) Halling, Murray; Dean (Lori) Anderson, Plain City; Donnell (Mike) Nelson, Brigham City; JoEllen (Val) Gunther, Brigham City; Ernest (Connie) Anderson, Brigham City; Clayton (Sheri) Anderson, Plain City; 39 Grandchildren, 69 Great-Grandchildren; and by her sister Carol Hatch (and companion Lynn Walker) of Ogden.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, her sisters Frankie Maddocks , Joan Sorensen, Ruth Bryan, and her brothers Frank Neff and Lloyd Neff.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary for over 50 years.
