OSKALOOSA — Richard Crile, age 54, of Oskaloosa passed away at his home early Saturday morning, March 3, 2007.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday morning, March 6, 2007, at the St. John Lutheran Church in Oskaloosa with Rev. Stephen Lane officiating. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday morning at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel; the family will be at the funeral chapel from 6-8 p.m. to greet visitors. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.

Richard Michael Crile, son of Bernard Edmund and Norma Harriett Campbell Crile, was born March 27, 1952, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. As a child, his family lived on a farm south of Rose Hill. He was a 1970 graduate of Fremont High School. Mike was united in marriage to Donna Lee West December 23, 1969, at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Oskaloosa. They began their life together in Delta, where they lived until 1986, when they moved to Oskaloosa. Mike began his working career with Wausau Homes and later Kingsberry Homes. In 1976, he began working at Pella Corp. and worked there until the time of his death. He spent 15 years in the door plant and the past 5 years he has worked in central maintenance. Mike was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Oskaloosa, where he taught Sunday School and he was a past member of Hope Lutheran Church in Sigourney. He enjoyed watching Hawkeye Football and Wrestling and was an I-Club member. He was a long-time supporter of Oskaloosa Wrestling. He also enjoyed gospel country music, rebuilding and painting cars. He most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his wife, Donna Crile of Oskaloosa; three sons: Brian (Darcy) Crile of Oskaloosa; Jason (Tara) Crile of Bellevue, NE; and Willie (Denise) Crile of Oskaloosa; two daughters: Michelle (Shannon) Perry and Mary Crile, both of Oskaloosa; he was blessed with 13 grandchildren: Brian’s children: Chelsey, Brandon and Madeline; Jason's children: Drew and Aidan; Willie’s children: Mercedes, Kanstanze and Alleighsyn; Michelle’s children: Austin, Nicholas, Brady and Holden; and Mary’s son: Nathan; he is also survived by his father, Bernard Crile of Oskaloosa; three brothers: Lee (Sandy) Crile of Huntingdon, PA; Wayne (Sally) Crile of Leighton, IA and David (Julie) Crile of New Sharon, IA; a sister: Linda (Howard) Lanphier of Oskaloosa and a sister-in-law: Dian Crile of Huntingdon, PA.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Crile; a brother, Rev. Steven Crile and a sister, Betty Richardson.
