Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Visitation will be after 11am

Doris Floy Coleman was born November 3, 1918, in Hudson, SD, the daughter of
Cecil C. and Ida Mae (Denison) Coleman. She attended schools in Hawarden, Iowa.
On March 17, 1939, she was united in marriage to Paul Christian in Pipestone,
MN. The couple made their residence in Iowa City where for many years they owned
the service station that was on the corner of Riverside Drive and Highway 6.
They retired in 1980. Paul died November 29, 1994. Doris moved to Independence
in July of last year to be closer to her family.
Her family includes a son and his wife, Bill and Joyce Christian of Sibley, MO;
two grandchildren, Jeannie Rentschler and Brett Christian both of Independence;
and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Paul, she was preceded in death by her brother, Neil
Coleman.
