At age 35 Aaron enlisted with the 162nd regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company F, and served 100 days, mustering in May 20 1864, and mustering out at camp Chase in Warren, Ohio, Sept 4 1864.
In his unit were also Jacob Steiner age 31, and John Skelton age 19.
Jacob should be his future brother in law and John should be his nephew, the son of Aaron's brother Isaac Skelton.
Aaron married Elizabeth Steiner in 1867.

Amy b. abt before 1894
