Edith Winston Sallé, 97, of Bon Air, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004.

Mrs. Sallé was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Cuvier Sallé; and was the daughter of Thomas Scott Winston and Edith Hammond.

Survivors include her daughter Sarah Evans and her husband, Robert; a sister, Alice Kean of Mineral; two granddaughters, Lynne Evans and Mary Cantone and her husband, Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Katie Cantone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sallé was a life long member of Manakin Episcopal Church in Powhatan.

Mrs. Sallé was a 1925 graduate of Collegiate School for Girls, now the The Collegiate Schools.

Graveside services were held at the family cemetery in Louisa County, 11am Sunday, March 7, 2004. The Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
