Joel Jasper (a/k/a Jasper Joel) Stanford was the second son of Abraham and Nancy Stanford.
He married Lydia Latitia Graves of Loraine County, Ohio, on October 1, 1863 in Jefferson County, Iowa.

That works out to an estimated DOB of Feb. 5, 1866, but at least one source has it as being January 30, 1866. No Iowa birth records were kept until mid-1880 so there are no birth records to consult for verification of the exact birth date.
