Clarence Arthur was born in Henderson County, Texas in 1899 (maybe 1900) to Barney J. & Tennie Wheatley? Arthur (1900 census).
By 1910, Tennie had married Columbus Billings, who was born in Hardin County, TN and moved to Oklahoma with his parents. What became of Barney J. Arthur is unknown. Clarence lived with them along with children Florence Billings (later Barry), William Walker Billings, and Salada Billings. I'm not sure if Tennie was the birth mother of Florence or William (probably wasn't), but they lived as a family just the same.
They missed the 1920 census, but in 1930, they were all living in Miami County, Kansas. Clarence had married Luella Hall and had children Electra Erma and Charles Allen Arthur.
In 1940, they were living in Wichita, Kansas (appear to have moved after 1935).
I don't know when they moved further west.
