Eula P. Shivers Trimm, 91 of Benton, died August 27, 2008, in Benton. She was born July 3, 1917 to the late Sanford M. and Mittie Frances (Hartless) Bishop in Yarnaby, OK. Mrs. Trimm was a homemaker and a member of New Summit Church of God in Benton. She was preceded in death by husband, George Shivers, husband Buster Trimm, one son Marion Alsup, one sister Vera Gallinger, two brothers, Henry Bishop and Earnest Bishop, one grandson, Gary Alsup and one stepson, Joe Trimm. She is survived by her sons, George Shivers of Benton, Allen Shivers and wife, Lavette of Bryant; one daughter, Pauline Shivers of Benton; one step-son, Willie Trimm and wife Duretta of Benton; four step-daughters, Gloria Longworth of Texas, Rosie Halpane and husband Gary of Donaldson, AR, Cleva Michael of Benton and Nelda Harmon of Benton, two brothers, Curtis Bishop of Bochita, OK and Billy Joe Bishop of Texas; two sisters, Corine Ingram of Bochita, OK and Ruth Hamby of Plano, TX; seven grandchildren, Georgia Smith of Little Rock, Sasha Shivers of Yamhill, OR, Dallas Shivers of Benton, Theresa Kumpe of Bryant, Allyson Harcrow and Katrina Shivers of Bryant; numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren, David Trimm, Mike Brown, Nathan Mabry, Bernice Cash, Judy Smith, Rhonda Barnett, Trisha McDee, Randy Beardin, Justin Causey, Michelle Danner, Melissa Harmon; numerous step-great-grandchildren, and other numerous relatives and friends. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 29, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 3 p.m. at New Summit Church of God in Benton with Rev. Mike Stevens and Rev. Albert T. Davis officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Bishop, Marvin Ingram, Larry Shivers, Craig Hamby, Roy Shivers and Steve Shivers. Interment will be at Summit Cemetery.
