The Baxter Bulletin, An April 1991 Issue: Funeral held for Sam SETZER, 68, of Summit. Sam SETZER of Summit died Wednesday (April 24, 1991) at Bull Shoals Community Hospital. He was 68. Mr. SETZER was born April 26, 1922, at Rush, the son of Harvey A. and Roke Belle SETZER. He was a life-long resident of Marion County. He was a drywaller. Also, he was a member of the Summit Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. Mr. SETZER was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian; one daughter, one son, his parents, one sister and three brothers. He is survived by three daughters, Linda CASTEEL of Summit, Brenda CARTER of Valley Springs and Paula WYRICK of Omaha, Ark.; one son John SETZER of Mountain Home; three sisters, Martha DEMARIA of Harrison, Betty CORONA of Summit and Rose HARNESS of Yakima, Wash.; three brothers, Hoyt SETZER of Kennewick, Wash., Bill SETZER of Fort Jones, Calif., and Carl SETZER of Sacramento, Calif., six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were Friday at Burns Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Lee Bowers and the Rev. S. D. Hacker officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Ed LYNCH, E. G. PLY, Eugene LEWIS, Elwrard STILL, Huey LONG and Charles ALLEN. Honorary pallbearers were Clyde CHEEVER, Tom HUDSON, Gene ALLEN and Kirby WAGONER. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
