Sybil Frances Price, 76, of the Marlow community, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Price was born May 1, 1925, in Anderson County, the daughter of Hamilton Clark Courtney and Daisy Lenora Hackworth Courtney, who are deceased.
She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Price is survived by her husband, William Link Price. The couple would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in October.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Price is survived by a son, William Gordon Price and his wife, Kay, of Andersonville; her daughter, Sybil Sharon Ridge and her husband, James, of Kingston; and five grand children, Clay Price and his companion, Cherie Barber, and Dennis Price and his wife Vickie, all of Newnan, Ga., Glynna Jackson and her husband, Jeff, of Andersonville, Brigette Jolly and her husband, Michael, of Kingston, and Tim Owens and his wife, Scarlett, of Oliver Springs.
She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Kimmie Jackson and Katie Jackson, both of Andersonville, Lexy Jolly and Dalton Jolly, both of Kingston, Brad Price, Courtney Price, Kristen Carden, Jamie Carden and Summer Price, all of Newnan, and Justin Owens, Magan Hendrickson and Blair Hendrickson, all of Oliver Springs.
Faye Price of Newnan was considered a close friend.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Glen Poston officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Anderson Memorial Gardens, 640 Oliver Springs Highway, near Marlow community. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
