Married Mary Jane Pierce on 27 November 1920. He had lived in Farley 33 years. Mr. McCardie was a member of the Dover Baptist church in Eolia in Pike. He was employed by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad. He was a carpenter. Betty McCardie, Farley, Mrs. Marion Graham, St. Charles, Mo., and Mrs. Mildred Helenthal, Keokuk, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Wells, Los Angeles and Mrs. Carrie Beasley, Greeley, Colo.; 46 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2 o'clock Monday at the Rollins chapel in Platte City; burial in Hampton cemetery. Friends may call between 7 and 9 o'clock Sunday at the chapel.
