Mrs. Pearl M. Smith, 68, 249 Hubbard Ave., No. Ft. Myers, died Wednesday. She had been a resident here for the past 23 years. Survivors include her husband, Ernest A. (Frog) Smith, Sr.; sons George B. Smith, William A. Smith, Ernest A. Smith Jr. and Leroy C. Smith; sisters, Mrs. Retta Avera and Mrs. Mattie Johnson of Adel, GA and eleven grandchildren.
The funeral Home with Rev. E. S. Anderson officiating. Pallbearers will be Rev. Aaron Howze, Ferman Swift, Keith Taylor, Ruben Snider, Ernie Stanford and Clarence Varin. Honorary pallbearers will be Ellis Solomon, Gerald Titrus, Rev. E. R. Schulz and Rev. M. Gilbert. Burial will be in Fort Myers Cemetery. (Fort Myers News-Press 4/14/66)
