Marion worked for 12 years at Burdick's in Jay, N.Y., repairing chain saws and small engines, as a seasonal worker at apple orchards and living on the farm. She enjoyed helping Dottie and the Golden Notes. Marion enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Joan Stinnette of Baird, Texas, Alice and Pete Pelkey of Bloomingdale, and James and Shirley Smith of AuSable Forks; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beatrice Joy of AuSable Forks and Edna Pelkey of Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Smith, who passed away in 1970; Dorothy Hanson; Arthur Williams.
Graveside services will be Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at 10 a.m. at the North Jay Cemetery in AuSable Forks.
Memorials may be made to the North Jay Cemetery Association.
