Many years ago she worked as a cafeteria manager with the Flagler County School System. She later worked for 32 years as an insurance agent with the Liberty National Life Insurance Company in the Flagler County area. During her time with Liberty National she was the recipient of numerous awards, including The Honor Agent award, Torch Club award and the District Leader award.
Ms. Stella was a member of the Citrus Growers Association and had more than 40 acres of citrus trees. Much of the fruit from her trees was used to supply Flagler and Putnam county school systems with fruit.
She had served as chairman of the Putnam County Cemetery Taskforce. As a member of this taskforce, she and other members of the committee were instrumental in locating and mapping the more than 100 small cemeteries scattered throughout the Putnam County area.
Ms. Stella will no doubt be remembered for her work as a citizens advocate, speaking many times at county commission meetings concerning various issues.
She was likewise a member of the Putnam County Genealogical Society.
She was the mother of one son, who survives her.
Grandmother of one grandson and great-grandmother of two grandchildren.
