AMALONG
Paul H. Amalong, 101, of 430 Hickory Drive, Greensburg, died Friday, May 12, 1989 at home. He was born Nov. 9, 1887, in Salem Township, a son of the late Albert and Emma Henry Amalong.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a dairy farmer in the Hempfield and Unity Township areas. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Greensburg and the New Alexandria Community Grange.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Wolfe Amalong, in 1965; a sister; and several brothers.
He is survived by two sons, Henry S. Amalong of Greensburg and Burrell W. Amalong of Latrobe RD3; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
AMALONG – Friends of Paul H, Amalong, 101, of 430 Hickory Drive, Greensburg, who died Friday May 12, 1989, will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 North Main St., Greensburg, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Edwin Fromm officiating. Interment will be in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. Memorials can be made to the First United Church of Christ, Greensburg. Terrence Graft in charge of arrangements.
