On March 17, 1862, she bore John I. Bender Jr. who died June 14, 1863.
In 1864, she bore James Bender.
In 1867, she bore Martha F. Bender (Mattie).
In March 1870, she bore David Henry Bender.
In 1870, at age 26, she lived on a farm in Polk Township, Monroe Co. Indiana with John 36, daughters Elizabeth J. and Martha 12 & 3, and sons Wm. Troy, James, and David Henry 10, 6, & 7 mths.
In March 1873, she bore George Jackson T. Bender.
In February 1876, she bore Teresa Frances Bender. Both Teresa and George were raised by Quill and Becky Knight.

On January 13, 1880, she was admitted to Central State Hospital in Indianapolis Indiana at age 38. She was described as being violent, quick-tempered, and badly disturbed. She was admitted (Adm. No. 4092) for religious excitement and heredity.
After 1880, her husband John left and went to Missouri with her son Wm. Troy and Troy's father-in-law, John Harris Jr.
In 1900, she lived at Central State Hospital in Indianapolis Indiana. Her guardian was James Clark of Bloomington Indiana, a son-in-law.
At her death in 1908, her nearest relatives were listed as David H. Bender of Decatur Ill. and George Bender of Vorhees Indiana. Her body was taken to McNeely Undertakers of Indianapolis. Mr. McNeely later worked at Kirby Mortuary of Indianapolis.
