The Lord called one of His angels home. Mitzi G. (Bowlin) Jones, 47, of New Castle went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 at Ball Memorial Hospital after 13 years of battling breast cancer.
She was born February 24th, 1961 in Muncie, IN and was the daughter of James W. "Pop" and Cloma (Lewis) Bowlin.
Mitzi graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1979. She worked in the Pathology Labs in the Muncie area. She loved the Colts football team and the kids at Blue River High School.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Jones of New Castle; one son, Zachary Jones at home; two stepchildren, Joshua and Brent Jones; her parents, James and Cloma Bowlin of Springport; one brother, Jerry (wife-Connie) Bowlin of Losantville; and two nephews, Brent and Kurtis Bowlin.Services for Mitzi will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20th, 2008, at Main and Davis Funeral Home Astor Main Blue River Chapel located East of Mt. Summit at 3038 East Highway 36 and midway between Mt. Summit and Mooreland, with Reverend Paul Krebs and Reverend Albert Oren officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Summit Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Society or the Zachary Jones College Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
