Miranda Belle Haller, daugher of Edmund Haller and Elizabeth Newberry, married James J. Bostick, son of Joel and Nancy A. Bostick, on October 25, 1892, in Montgomery County, Illinois. (Source: Online marriage index at the Illinois State Archives site.) The Haller and Bostick families were pioneers in the local area and well-respected.

Belle and James Bostick's son Cloyd L. Bostick was born on December 4, 1900. Their second son, Joel E., was born six years later in 1906. Cloyd died April 3, 1921 and is buried at the historic McCord Cemetery in Irving, Illinois (see family link).

Sometime after Cloyd's death, Cloyd's surviving parents and brother moved to Oakland, California where they can be found in the 1930 federal census. Their migration to California followed nearly 100 years of Bostick/Haller history in Montgomery County, Illinois. Many of the Bostick and Haller family members are buried at McCord Cemetery, including both sets of Cloyd's grandparents.

Cloyd's mother, Miranda Belle (Haller) Bostick, would die June 2, 1949, in Alameda County, Calfornia. Belle's father's surname of Haller and her mother's maiden name of Newberry are recorded on her death record. Cloyd's father James J. Bostick died in 1939. Both are buried in the Mt. Eden Cemetery at Hayward, California (see spouse links).

The second son of Belle and James Bostick, Joel E. Bostick, would die in Alameda County, California, on July 17, 1989. (Source: California Death Index, 1940-1997). It is not known where he is buried.
