John Miller was the son of Henry and Rebecca Miller nee Boggs. He was probably born in Londonderry, Ireland. He came to Pennsylvania when his parents emigrated to America in about 1756. By 1770, he and his parents left Pennsylvania and moved to Rockbridge County, Virginia. John married Ann Vinyard in 1785. Ann died in about 1809. Some time after her death John left Virginia and moved to Kentucky. He stayed there for some years and finally moved to Lawrence County, Indiana to live with his daughter, Polly Zollman (Mrs. Adam Zollman). He died in Lawrence County at the home of his daughter.
