Glen R. Bennion Dies At Greys River Sheep Camp Friday
Glen Rollins Bennion, 53, well known livestock-man and concert tenor of Cokeville died suddenly Friday at 10:30 p.m. at his sheep camp on Greys River of coronary occlusion.
Born July 26, 1900 in Taylorsville, utah he was a son of Belle Rollins and Parley Bennion. He spent some years studying at the Kansas City Conservatory of Music and traveled extensively as a concert singer as a young man.
He married Virginia Kershisnik of Rock Springs in June 1947 and had since made his home in Cokeville. He had been actively engaged in the sheep business for many years and was well known in Star Valley.
Surviving besides his widow are one son Paul Bennion, Cokeville; a step-son John D. Bennion, Salt Lake City; and the following brothers and sisters; Clarence R. Bennion, Bountiful; Mrs Earl S. Jensen, Ogden; Parley J. Bennion, Leslie, Ida.; J Reed Bennion, Mrs David P. Jones, Mrs Ferrell H. Adams, Mrs Robert Marshall, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Cokeville Ward.
