YOUNGSTOWN - Elinor S. Whipple, 52, of 372 Brentwood Drive died at her home today (May 10, 1982) after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Shelbina, Mo., and lived in Youngstown for the past 11 years. Prior to that she was a resident of St. Louis, Mo.
She worked as a teacher's aide at the Lewiston-Porter School system for five years and was a member of the Meadows United Methodist Church, Lewiston and the PEO Chapter AR of Niagara Falls.
She was the daughter of the late Ross Spader.
She is survived by her husband, Richard G. Whipple; her mother, Mrs. Ross (Merle) Spader of Kirkwood, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. John (Susan) Lamb of Niagara Falls, Mrs. John (Kathryn) Ellison of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. David (Robin) Loup of Brighton, Mich., and Miss Anne Whipple at home; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Meadows United Methodist Church with the Rev. Calvin Babcock officiating. Prayer services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Hardison Funeral Homes Inc., Lewiston
Interment will be in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions to the Meadows United Methodist Church are acceptable as tributes.
