LEWISTON -Joseph A. Agnello, 64, of 4977 Creek Road, died Monday (May 30, 1977) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital.
Born in Clymer, Pad., he came to this community in 1920.
An insurance and investment consultant for 25 years, he retired in 1972. He served in the U.S. Army Engineer Corps during World War II.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Buffalo District Golf Association, chairman of the Niagara Frontier Golf Club, past president of the Niagara Falls Bowling Association, Niagara Falls Bowling Hall of Fame, Masonic Niagara River Lodge No. 785 F&AM, the Renaissance Club of North Tonawanda and the finance committee of St. John's Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife Joan W. Agnello; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Susan) Eberwein of North Tonawanda; a son, Joseph C., at home; his mother Mrs. Concetta Agnello, this community; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Brown and a brother, Peter O., both of this community, two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. John's Episcopal Church, Youngstown, with Father John W. Gibson, Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the M.J. Colucci Funeral Chapel.
Contributions may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church memorial fund or Dr. Richard Cooper, Chemotherapy Department, 85 High St., Buffalo 14302, as tribute, the family said.
