(Ransomville) - Shawn R. Wolf, age 19, of Ransomville, died tragically on Saturday, July 26, 2008.
Shawn was born February 8, 1989 in Lewiston, NY, the son of Deborah J. (Ankenbauer) Wolf of Ransomville and the late Richard A. Wolf, and was a lifelong resident of Ransomville. He graduated this past June from Wilson High School with an advanced Regents Diploma, and was looking forward to attending Niagara County Community College to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. Shawn was a member of the Wilson High School Lacrosse Team. He enjoyed Paint Ball, snowmobiling and 'playing the "Halo" video game. Most of all he loved spending time with his best friends, Justin and Andrew; with his sister and brother-in-law at their home in Youngstown; and with many of his other friends.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah J. Wolf
(Charlie Ruble); two sisters, Christina (Anthony) Sgroi of Youngstown and Kimberly Jeffords (Jason Dutrieux) of Brandon, FL; his maternal grandmother, Jennie (late William) Ankenbauer: a niece, Ashley Sgroi and a nephew, Nicholas Dutrieux; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Richard V. Wolf and his paternal grandmother, Alice (William) Regling.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 31 at 11:00 AM in the Ransomville Free Methodist Church, 3924 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville, with the Rev. William Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown. No prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wilson High School Lacrosse Team, P.O. Box 648, Wilson, NY 14172. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd.; Ransomville, NY.
