Jessie Howland Dies at 92
Jessie Howland, 92, a long time resident of Marin County, died yesterday in a San Anselmo convalescent home where she had lived for the last 10 years.
Born in Illinois, Mrs. Howland migrated to California and settled in San Rafael 30 years ago.
She is survived by her daughters Alene Budal of San Diego, Elizabeth Erickson of Humboldt County, and Edith Wiggins of San Anselmo; three sons, Herman V. of Calipatria, Robert S. of Palo Alto, and John E. of Sonoma.
Also surviving are two sisters, Lizzie Morris of Hydesville, Humboldt County, and Sarah Peacock of Eureka; and a brother, Truman Swarts of Fortuna. Mrs. Howland had numerous grandchildren.
Funeral will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Keaton's Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
