Raymond Edward Vining retired Army officer and builder
BRANDON - Raymond Edward Vining, 61, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel and builder, died of cancer Thursday at home. Services are 2:30 p.m. Sunday at New Covenant Church in Ridgeland with burial in Natchez Trace Cemetery in Ridgeland. Visitation begins at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
He had lived in Mississippi since 1977. He was a member of One Way Ministries. He retired from the Army after 26 years and attended Mississippi College, where he earned a master's degree in business administration.
Survivors include: wife, Jeanne; sons, Victor Edward Vining of Greenville, Kenneth Edwin Vining and Mark Patrick Vining, both of Brandon, and John David Vining of Pearl; daughters, Kathryn Smith of Peart and Tui Palmer of Ridgeland; brothers, Daryt Crossman of Davis, Calif., Ricky Crossman of Sacramento, Calif., and Bob Crossman of South Carolina; and sister, Jackie Crossman of California.
