W. W. White, 65, and "Dub" White Found Shot in Back of Head.
Union Parish in the vicinity of Farmerville was aroused late yesterday over the murder of W. W. White, 65-year-old farmer, living on the Bernice-Farmerville highway, and his son, "Dub" White, 25 years old, living with his father.
The two farmers had been plowing on their farm Friday and when they failed to return home late in the afternoon neighbors went to investigate the cause of their absence. The elder White was found in a field dead with bullet wounds in the back of his head. His son "Dub" was also found dead in a field about a mile away from that in which his father had been working. The younger White also had a wound in the back of his head made from an automatic shotgun found lying at his side when discovered by investigating parties.
W. W. White is the father and "Dub" White is the brother of Ollie White, Dubach merchant.
No clues other than the discovery of the shotgun were made known by Sheriff Pat Murphy and his aides investigating the crime today.
Dr. G. A. Ramsey, Union Parish coroner, made an investigation today but information as to his findings were not released here.
