EDGAR MCDANIEL RITES THURSDAY.
Funeral services for Edgar Harry McDaniel, 55, Hamilton, who died Tuesday morning in the Eugene Hughes Memorial Hospital, will be conducted Thursday at 2 pm in the N Seventh St Church of Christ, with Ray Jones, minister, officiating. Burial will be held in the Darrtown Cemetery. Friends may call at the David Webb & Sons Funeral Home, Hamilton, Wednesday, after 4 pm..
Mr McDaniel, who had been in ill health for the last 11 years, was a patient in the Hughes Hospital 20 months before his death, which brings widespread sorrow to his family & friends. Born in Rockcastle Co, Ky, May 27, 1899, a son of W C & Frances Bullock McDaniel, he was educated in the schools there. A molder by trade, Mr McDaniel was married to Mrs Lucy Witt Downey on Nov 13, 1930, in Newport, Ky. He had resided in Butler Co for the last 30 years. An employee of the General Machinery Co (now the Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corp) for 30 years until his retirement 11 years ago. Mr McDaniel was associated with the L B Price Co for several years. Active in the affairs of the N Seventh St Church of Christ, he was an elder of the church & particularly interested in work with the younger members of the church. He was also a member of the Fairfield Grange.

He leaves his widow, Mrs Lucy McDaniel; his mother, Mrs Frances McDaniel, Hamilton; two sons, Charles McDaniel, minister of the Church of Christ, Vevay, Ind, & Donald McDaniel, at home; one stepson, Morton Downey, at sea with the US Navy; four brothers, Clarence, William C Jr, Vernon, & Earl McDaniel, all of Hamilton; one sister, Mrs Gladys Mogle, Cincinnati; two grandsons; & a whole circle of friends.
