She was born July 4, 1951, in Owings, a daughter of Donna Hall Mackey Welch of Fairmont and the late Kenneth Ferrel Mackey.
Vickie was a homemaker who enjoyed her grandchildren and bowled in the Rainbow League. She was a former member of the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department Women's Auxiliary. She graduated from Shinnston High School in 1969 and also attended Fairmont Business College. She was also a member of Haught Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jimmie Welch, whom she married Jan. 23, 1971; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Georgia Welch of Grant Town and Jason and Melanie Welch of Morgantown; two brothers, Kenneth and Rebecca Mackey of Fairview and Keith Mackey of Owings; two granddaughters, Camryn and Caitlyn Welch; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Todd Welch.
Friends may call at Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington on Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Randy Vincent officiating. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Farmington.
