Richard Dale Frye, 64, of Waldron, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 24, 2009 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Richard was born February 14, 1945 at Loudon, Tennessee to the late Mildred Bernice (Thomas) Thompson.

He was of the Pentecostal faith, was an U. S. Army Veteran, and was a retired truck driver.

Mr. Frye was preceded in death by his daughter and son: Tammy and Paul Frye, and his dad: Oscar "Gene" Thompson.

Mr. Frye is survived by his wife:Kathy Frye of the home; a daughter: Sherry Kelly of Illinois; a son: Richard Frye, Jr. of Illinois; a sister: Mona Kidd and husband John of Rockford, Illinois; and a brother, Paul Thompson and wife, Sharon of Baraboo, Wisconsin; along with other relatives and many good friends.

Graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, July 27, 2009, at the U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Rev. Tom Garrison, officiated the service.
Honorary pallbearers were: Coy Butler, Robert Wagner, Wimp Parson, Floyd Isham, Todd Isham, Noble Fryar, Joy Dean Brothers, Richard Moore, and Jay Waddle.
