RONALD E. BIGGERSTAFF, 51, head of Biggerstaff Roofing and Supply Co., died Wednesday at 1:20 p.m. at Wood River Township Hospital. He had been in ill health since suffering a heart attack last June at which time he was hospitalized. He reentered the hopsital Monday when complications developed.

Mr. Biggerstaff, who resdided at 620 Ferguson Ave., Wood River, was born at Belle Prairie, Hamilton County, March 12, 1908, a son of Charles S. and the late Minnie May Biggerstaff. He attended McLeansborough High School and following his graduation he came to Wood River where he had resided, except for four years when he was in military service in World War II.

Upon his return from the military he founded Biggerstaff Roofing and Supply Co., at Wood River.

Mr. Biggerstaff was an ardent sportsmen. He had been active in the American Field Trial Association, both as judge and exhibitor of birds and dogs. He also was a registered judge of the Tennessee Working Horse Association, and had exhibited at many of the shows.

He had been active in Masonic organizations He was a member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Illinois; Table Grove Lodge 939, Table Grove; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rites, Quincy Consistory; A.O.O.N.M.S., Aniad Temple, East St. Louis; The American Legion Post 204: Unity Court 21, Order of Amaranth, Inc.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mae Markham, to whom he married in 1944; three sons, Ronald Charles, 14, Kent 12, Allen Dean, 6 and a daughter Kathy Lorraine, 8; his father, who resides in East Alton; three brothers, Sidney, Wood River; Rupert, St. Louis, and Robert of Houston, Tex.; three sisters, Ernestine Biggerstaff, Roxana; Mrs. Donald Phillips and Mrs. Lee Hudspeth, Wood River, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Biggerstaff was a member of the First Methodist Church, Wood River and funeral rites rites Saturday at 1 p.m., will be conducted in the church.

The body is at Marks Mortuary, Wood River, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday.

Masoonic services will be conducted Friday at 7:30 p.m., at the mortuary.
