Leland -- Ben W. Pearson, 51, died Saturday afternoon at his home in Leland after an illness. Funeral services will be at 2:30 today at Eberezar Church in Webster County near Stewart. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Coleman Funeral Home of Indianola has charge.

Mr. Pearson leaves his widow, Mrs. Charlene Love Pearson of Leland; three daughters, Mrs. Diane Doss of West Wego, La., Mrs. Vivian Metcalf of Algeria, La., and Mrs. Velma Utley of Dallas, Tex.; six sons, John W. Pearson, Thomas Pearson and Paul Pearson, all of Leland, and Benny R. Pearson, of Hickory Hill, Ill., Durwood Pearson and Daniel Pearson, both of New Orleans, La.; his mother, Mrs. Zona Pearson of Greenville; four sisters, Mrs. Horace Wells, Mrs. Geneva Woods and Mrs. Betty Griffin of Greenville, and Mrs. Pearl F. Gibbons of Canton, Ohio; four brothers, Elbert Pearson, Marvin Pearson and Eddie Pearson, all of Greenville, and Earl Pearson of Arkabutla; and nine grandchildren.
