William Pearson Apperson was the son of Bennett Apperson born Feb 5, 1798 in Surry Co., NC - died abt 1822, and Nancy Ann Ann Redford Scott. Nancy was born Feb 18, 1805 and died abt 1865. Following the death of Bennett, she married Samuel Hauser on Nov 21, 1824 and had a number of children. She and Bennett had one child - William Pearson Apperson who was named for his aunt Mary Pearson Apperson.
