Funeral for Bessie O. Cothren, 85, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Letitia Baptist Church with the Rev Jerry Couch officiating.
Mr. Cothren died Saturday, June 15, 2002, in Lawton.
Burial will be at Letitia Cemetery under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.
She was born July 20, 1916, in Comanche County to Elizabeth and George W. Roach. She married Tom Aston on March 9, 1941, in Lawton. He died Dec. 13, 1956. She married Buster Cothren on July 15, 1961. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; four sons: James Aston, Muskogee; Tom Aston, Geronimo; Donald Aston, Marlow; and Harold Cothren, Barstow, Calif.; a daughter, Nancy Gamblin, Lawton; four brothers: Alonzo and Charley Roach, both of Lawton; Jack Roach, Billarica, Mass.; and John Roach, Fletcher; three sisters: Lois Ray, Marlow; and Alice Fletcher and Lenora Dowlen, both of Temple; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
