**From Notes written in Alpha's Bible that had been copied by her daughter Viola Dempsey Willis said that Alfred Thomas Griffin had survived the Civil War and in 1866 after returning home to Hoboken Ga that he was Killed while felling trees on his land. His wife Harriet was pregnant with their 3rd child and daughter Savility Alpha Griffin. Harriet then moved to Hamilton Co Florida to be near some of her family and Alpha was born in Hamilton Co, Florida.
Harriet later married Silas Davis Sr.
