Eloise G. (Briggs) Webster, 93, Stockton, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Solomon Valley Manor, Stockton.

She was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Beloit to Harold and Tracey (Mock) Briggs. She was a 1933 graduate of Beloit High School.

She married Howard F. Webster on May 19, 1935, in Beloit. He preceded her in death Feb. 6, 2006. They owned Webster's Grocery in Stockton for 54 years.

Survivors include five daughters, Karleen Hrabe, Plainville, Gwendene Carter, Kingwood, Texas, Jolene Arford, Boulder, Colo., Kristine Travlos, Wilmington, N.C., and Lorna Webster, Westminster, Colo.; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three step-great- grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Howard Jr. "Howdy" Webster, on Dec. 6, 1973.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2009, at Main Street Christian Church, Stockton; burial in Stockton Cemetery, Stockton, Kansas.

Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, both at Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Home, Stockton, and from 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
