Funeral Held on Tuesday for Mr. Albert Larson

Funeral services for Albert Larson of Northwood were held Tuesday afternoon in the Goose River Lutheran Church. Rev. C.J. Field officiated and burial was made in the churchyard cemetery.
Mr. Larson passed away Friday, March 21 [1958] in a Grand Forks hospital. He was born in Solør, Norway and came to the United States while a young man. He homesteaded near Hatton and in 1897 was married to Karen Sveen at Portland, N.Dak.
They retired from farming in 1941 and moved to Northwood to live. Mrs. Larson died in 1950 and since last August Mr. Larson had resided at the Old People’s Home. He was 92 years of age.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mils Brumwell, Erskine, Minn., Mrs. Arthur Winters, Thompson, Mrs. Arthur Hagness, Grand Forks, and Mrs. Julius Holweger of Northwood; four sons, Rudolph of Grand Forks, Alfred of Northwood, Sievert of International Falls, Minn. and Lyder, who farms east of Hatton. He also leaves 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A son, Mentz, was killed in Africa in 1943 during World War II. – Hatton Free Press, March 27, 1958
