ELLIS, JOSEPHINE – age 52, died at her home, May 11, 1996. Born in Buffalo, March 16, 1944, she was the daughter of LAKALIE GIBSON and the late HURSTLE GIBSON. In addition to her father, she was preceded also in death by brothers WILLIS ABBOTT and VERNA LEE; HOMER HUBERT WEST and one sister, ETHEL ABBOTT. She was a member of the Annadell Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, HERMAN ELLIS of the Annadell community; four sons: WALTON JUNIOR WALKER and wife, LINDA, of Oneida; BILLY and SHERRI ELLIS of Winona; RANDY and CARRIE ELLIS of Capital Hill; and ODIE and wife, CHARLENE ELLIS of Annadell; six grandchildren; her mother, LAKALIE GIBSON; five sisters: ROSALIE LAWSON, LOU JEAN HARNESS, OLAMAE JEFFERS, PHYLLIS TERRY and SHARON SMITHERS; six brothers: PRESTON JEFFERS, ODIS ABBOTT of Ga.; JERRY, BILL, BENNY and JOHN GIBSON, all of Annadell; special friends, MARY HELEN GARLAN and PAULINE SEXTON; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives. Funeral services were conducted May 15, 1996, in the Annadell Baptist Church with Revs. DWIGHT STANLEY and CARLIE DUNCAN officiating. The Annadell Baptist Church Choir sang.
