The funeral for Cyril J. "Rocky" Stone, 70, who died Sunday, July 31, 1988, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Stone was born August 10, 1917, in Waukon, Iowa. He married Nina Faie Gill in 1941. She died in 1986. He served with the U. S. Air Force during World War II and was discharged in December 1945. While in the service, he won the middle-weight boxing championship, rifle shooting and was company commander while in training. He also was employed at General Electric Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana, until 1945, moving to Enid in 1947 where he was employed at George E. Failing Co. for a time. He then joined OG&E and was employed for 25 years in the transformer division.

Mr. Stone was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post No. 4. Surviving is his mother; Magdalena Stone Anderson of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters and two brothers.
