Audrey Beatrice Patterson Goodwin, age 82, of Newport News, VA and formerly of Clifton Forge, went to be with the Lord and her family on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Memorial Regional Hospital in Mechanicsville, VA. Born September 17, 1926 in Vesuvius, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lavier and Edna Moran Patterson. Audrey grew up in Clifton Forge and was a resident of Newport News for fifty-two years. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband, Osal Wiley "Frog" Goodwin, Jr., a daughter, Brenda Kay, and a son Thomas Lavier Goodwin. She is survived by a daughter, Stewart Goodwin of Henrico County, and a number of nieces and nephews.
