Former resident of Carrollton MO, died 7 March 1905 in Kansas City. Born 10 Jan 1827 in Adams County Ohio. Married 19 Feb 1852 Mrs Sarah Jameson. Nine children were born, 6 along with wife survive. Mrs John Herren and J W Phillips Carrollton MO, Mrs L Phillips Michigan Valley Kansas, Mrs A L Brady Rantone Kansas, D M Phillips Indian Territory now Oklahoma, Homer of Kansas City. Enlisted Civil War Union Army. In 1879 he with his family came to Missouri and settled near Miami MO. In 1884 went to Ottowa Kansas and engaged in grocery business, returned to Missouri in 1889 and engaged in farming. In 1895 he moved to Carrollton MO where he resided about a year. His health failing he and Mrs Phillips moved to Kansas City and made their home with a son. The remains sent to Carrollton MO, home of John Herren, where funeral was held Friday at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev L E Lewis and assisted by Elder E H Kellar and Rev T L West. Burial at Trotter graveyard.
