Ables, an electrician and a native of Attala County, MS; died Nov. 30, 2003, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
He was a member of the First Methodist Protestant Church and a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by a son, Charles Kenneth Ables, Jr. of the Carmack Community, Attala, MS; two daughters, Shalon Ables McElroy of Kosciusko, MS; Carrie Elizabeth Ables of Ackerman, MS; two brothers, Justin Lloyd Ables and Sydney Floyd Ables of Kosciusko, MS; four grandchildren.
Burial in Parkway Cemetery.
