Donna Mary Martin was born June 12, 1893, near Clifton, Texas. In 1905 she with her parents, moved to Indian Territory in the eastern part of Oklahoma.
She was united in marriage to Frank Jackson King in August, 1915. To this union four children were born: Mrs. Lula Pennington, Reydon, Mrs. Rose Howell, Sweetwater, Okla., Mrs. Vera Peters, Cheyenne, Oklahoma and P.J. King, McCune, Kansas, all of whom survive, except Mr. King, who preceded her in death in 1927. Later she was married to J. B. Crawl of Dempsey, who also preceded her in death in 1935. In 1937 she was married to W.B. Lackey of Dempsey, who survives at the home address. She has lived in Roger Mills County for 23 years.
Also surviviving are her mother, Mrs. Matilda Austin, Artesia, New Mexico; four brothers, Lewis, Marlow, Okla., Mick, Apache, Okla., Chaley, Aretesia, New Mexico, and Buster, Batesville, Ark., five sisters, Mrs. Ida Mullenix, Fletcher, Okla., Mrs Ludie Smallwood of Apache, Okla., Josie Redmoon, Monahan, Texas, Susie Clayton, Lovington, New Mexico and Rosie Hargus, Morton, Texas. Her father and two sisters preceded her in death. She is also survived by five grandchildren, other relatives a a host of friends and neighbors who mourn her passing.
Mrs. Lackey was a long time member of the Nazarene church. Ill health prevented active participation in church work the last several years.
Interment in the Dempsey cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
