TRAIN KILLS MARK GRADY -

Last rites for John Mark Grady, 19, former Decatur resident, who was killed by a freight train at Steppville, near Cullman, yesterday, were to be held at City Cemetery chapel at 3 o'clock this afternoon, with Rev. Ernest N. Hart as officiating minister. Brown will be in charge of burial.

Besides the widow, Mr. Grady is survived by one child and four brothers, Leonard, Clarence, Harry and Murray Grady, all of this city.

Mr. Grady met his death as he started on a mission of mercy. According to Coroner T.A. Robertson, of Cullman county, he attempted to board the train to come to Decatur for the purpose of arranging hospitalization for his child. He lost his footing and fell beneath the wheels of the train. Grady was decapitated and the body badly mangled.

The young man had been making his home with his father-in-law at Hanceville for some time.
