Iowa E. Buck age 92, of Corning died Wed, May 11, 2005 at Founders Pavilion, in Corning.

Iowa was born in Jasper, NY on Oct 30, 1912, to Floyd and Lena Butler.

She was the wife of Raymond Buck who preceded her in death in 1990 after 49 years of mariage.

Iowa was a homemaker and raised ten children. Her children and grandchildren where her life. She was an avid reader and loved history. She attended the Coopers Plains Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son David Buck in 2000; a daughter Kathryn Holt in 1996; two sisters; Joyce Bucannan and Alberta Wilson; and a brother Nolan Butler.

She is survived by three daughters: Linda (Mike) Giardina of Corning, Carol (George) Rea of Huston, TX, and Dottie (Gary) Reed of Corning; five sons, Raymond (Anna) Buck of Selah, WA, Andrew (Emma) Buck of Yakima, WA, Richard (Gerri) Buck of Lodi, NY, Robin Buck of Corning, and Floyd Buck of Cortland; three sisters, Janice (Bud) Craft of Corning, Elaine Ward of Campbell, and Betty Buck of Bath; one brother, Kasson (Ione) Butler of Ovid, NY; a daughter-in-law, Mary Buck of Corning; a son-in-law, Don (Mary) Holt of St. Cloud, FL; a grandson, Chad Reed; 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

Calling hours will be held on Sat May 14, 2005 from 2-4 PM at Phillips Funeral Home Inc., 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning where Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 PM with Reverend Richard Hurd officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Campbell, NY.
